The Expert Series and Some News

We’ve been very, very busy at LandsLeaving for the last while, working on projects in film, radio, video and TV.

First up, congratulations to our friends at Mixed Bag Media, who premiered their feature film ‘A Nightingale Falling’ to a great response at the Galway Film Fleadh. James worked as production manager on the film, and it will be in cinemas nationwide in September, so keep an eye out for it. This is the trailer:

We’ve had some success of our own too, with short film Eating In, directed and written by James, winning best short at a recent event in the Lighthouse Cinema, and being selected for the Underground Cinema Film Festival.

In video, we’re working with The Reluctant Speaker’s Club founder Eamonn O’Brien on The Expert Series, a videocast that features interviews on a range of topics that will be of interest to anyone in an SME or start-up. The interviews are filmed with a three-camera setup, which takes a little longer to edit, but looks so much more interesting and engaging than staring at a single camera angle for 10 minutes or more. Have a look:

We also just finished the major part of production on a new radio drama series which will be broadcast on RTÉ in October. I’ll post up a blog about the whole thing soon, and there’s some behind the scenes video too. It was enormous fun and we’re looking forward to making another series in September. Have a look at some of the photos taken during the recording with the cast.
